Magic Bus Myanmar begins charity work
Posted 06/13/2017 04:27PM

Magic Bus Myanmar is a charity working in impoverished areas in Hlaing Thayar and Thanlyin townships, the townships where our two campuses are located.

Magic Bus Myanmar is the first initiative supported by the Dulwich International School's Foundation (DISF) and is wholly funded by the Foundation. Magic Bus provides an activity-based curriculum that offers children living in poverty the opportunity to control the way they view the world, the freedom to choose the role they will play in it, and the power to define their own destiny. The end goal of Magic Bus is poverty alleviation.

Based in our Star City Admissions Office, the Magic Bus Myanmar team has grown to three members of full-time staff, overseen by Magic Bus based in India. The focus of their efforts has begun in Thanlyin township, where the team have started to identify youth leaders in 21 communities. Training began recently in Thanlyin township and some of the Dulwich College Yangon team visited to experience the program first hand.
